Steve Rosen: ‘You Hate Me, You Really, Really Hate Me’ → I know a few of my readers will appreciate the dark humor of this:
You remember the Sally Fields ga-ga Academy Award speech: “You love me; you really, really love me.”
Well, Steve Rosen has done the reverse and managed to lump me together with M.J. Rosenberg and Justin Raimondo as “three who hate” his blog. That’s probably the only time in each of our lives we’ll be mentioned in the same sentence, since we’re not exactly ... tags: justin raimondo, steve rosen, j rosenberg, sally fields, dark humor, academy award Posted at Tikun Olam on December 5, 2008, 1:14 am From Mumbai to Hebron, Hate Speaks the Same Language Regardless of Religion → Tonight, I heard Rabbi David Rosen speak at a remarkable conference, Religions as Promoters of Human Rights and Peace (pdf), organized by the Jewish Studies program at the University of Washington. He is the director of interreligious affairs for the American Jewish Committee and unlike David Harris and the rest of the AJC crowd, Rabbi Rosen is a truly humane, forward-thinking individual who seems unprepared to blame any particular religion or ethnic group for all ... tags: rabbi david rosen, rabbi rosen, jewish studies program, american jewish committee, chief rabbi, israeli arab conflict, interreligious affairs, david harris, ethnic group, seven months, promoters, generosity, mumbai, religions, university of washington, human rights, crowd, peace, ireland, religion Posted at Tikun Olam on December 5, 2008, 12:14 am Democrats pick up House seat in Spokane, Ahern's loss confirmed in recount → Breaking news this afternoon from the heart of the Inland Empire: John Driscoll, the Democratic challenger in the 6th Legislative District, has prevailed over incumbent Republican John Ahern, a just completed recount shows. Rather than list all the teams’ ratings, it only listed the top ten, a completely flawed methodology. As I argued last week, how can you say the league’s ratings are improved when ... tags: whole enchilada, nba ratings, boston celtics, attendance figures, nielsen ratings, world champs, clay bennett, espn, television ratings, percentage change, hornets, last tuesday, grizzlies, pacers, blazers, raptors, indictment, mavericks, clippers, lakers Posted at Supersonicsoul on December 4, 2008, 12:14 pm RTAGate (Or How We Spent $20,000 Riding the 545 and 554) → "Sound Transit HQ," by Seattlest Flickr contributor romulusnr
We love the bus. We ride it whenever we can. We try to convince our friends, family, and neighbors to ride the bus. We even offered sexual favors to our girlfriend if she would start riding the 41 from her Northgate crib to her downtown office. (She declined; we broke up. Draw your own conclusions.)
